Saturday I moved into the Bethesda Dorm. I had already met my roommate and was excited when she showed up. Our room's already a mess. I got registered and did some not so fun orientation things. I met a lot of new people and found out my small group. I'm the only girl. Sunday I went to Furgesson Christian Church and after that my mom and sister took me to find a case for my guitar. I'm taking a guitar class and was originally going to use my brother-in-law's guitar. The case was kinda old so we went to get a new one. When we got to Guitar Center though they told us about this deal where we could by a guitar, gig bag, strings, picks, a beginner dvd, and an electric tuner all for $200. I thought it was a great deal and even more so after I found out the guitar that you'd get is a Fender. Needless to say my mom got it for me. They were so awesome at Guitar Center. The guy tuned the guitar and he took it back and adjusted the strings. Since I was a beginner he lowered the strings to make them easier to push down. Then I went to my sister's bbq. Sunday night a few of us girls went out to Denny's but we didn't stay. Then we went to DQ but it was closed. Then we went to McDonalds and got ice cream. I'm going to a Casting Crowns concert on October 28. I can't wait.
Tomorrow I start classes at St. Louis Christian College (SLCC). Today we got oriented with MAP (Ministry Advancement Program). It was kinda boring but it'll be good in the long run. We went to a Ministry Fair and I signed up for worship ministries at Ferguson Christian Church (my sister's church). I also signed up for info about the youth and worship program at Harvester. Then we went and did different ministering things. A group of us (including Jess my room mate and my friend Mike) went to the St. Louis Dream Center. Then we went around and handed out flyers and cookies in O'Fallon Place. (It reminded me of Brandywine). I met a guy named Gary from the Dream Center. He's from New Zealand. The people knew the place well and were very receptive. Normally I'm very shy but this was a lot of fun. I really gave up my inhabitions and let the Lord work through me. There was a little boy we met named D'Anthony. He helped us pass out flyers. It was weird. He was so eager to help. He really took to one of the guys with us named Joey. He rode his bike around and popped wheelies. He was a sweet little boy with a big heart. While I was there walking up the steps to a door I saw a Praying Mantis. And when we were done down the street we saw a baby aligator. Then we came back and I got some rest. Gotta be ready for classes tomorrow.
The story, "Dreams" has been moved to a new blog.
This is gonna be rather boring. I seem to have none of my writing with me so I have nothing to blog but I'm saying this anyway. These are stories from a young hopeless writer, created for fans of Sci-fi and Fantasy. Some will be original stories of my own inventions. There will be fan fictions so if you hate fan-fics beware!!! Enjoy!!!!!
